![]() So, I went to delete the folder altogether from the EHD but I got this message: It would only copy some of the files though. Since I was having issues transferring the photo library itself, I tried to drop and drag individual photos to the EHD. So, how do I fix this? If this is an external drive issue (which I can't believe it is, since, again, it's not a problem for any of my other files), not only do I not have space to transfer the EHD files back onto my computer, I can not lose the files that are on my EHD.Ģ. I Googled something that told me to go to the disk utility for the EHD and it shows that it's not SMART supported (I don't really understand what that means but everything else on my EHD opens properly). Initially, I went into photos on the Mac and chose the option to repair the library.but apparently nothing was wrong. But then I get this message that the library can't be opened. I am asked if I want to switch the current photo library and I say yes. Wanting to make sure my pictures are all copied, I go to the external drive and double click on the photos icon to open it. All goes smoothly until the transfer's complete. I have been trying to transfer my Mac's photo library to my external hard drive (a Seagate Backup Plus Drive). So, if this was already answered somewhere, I apologize, and please guide me to the answer.ġ. I've been googling this issue all day but nothing I find seems to help me.
